What kind of desk top should I buy?

I have a business "work horse" computer with 4Gigabytes of RAM and a terabyte of hard disk, and plenty of gigahz. speed.

My question is: I’m wanting to buy a personal computer(desk top) for my personal use, but don’t want to spend the money I did for the business computer.

Here is what I will use the desk top for:

Mostly internet surfing, internet banking, internet buying, etc.
I’m not a "gamer", so I will not be playing any PC games.
I do a lot of video and audio downloading, but not much editing, etc.
I don’t use word-processing much. Just occasional simple letters.
Don’t need fancy 3-D or anything like that.

So can anyone tell me what kind of system I should buy? In terms of amount of RAM, Hard disk space, Gigahz.speed, graphics card, etc.

I like to economize, but don’t want a "junk" either.

Also what brand. My business computer is Dell and I love it

Thanks for any help with this.

How much power does a terabyte use?

How much power does one terabyte of storage use? It depends.

Our department is planning a server up-size or server share up-size and want the digital image library to expand to become more useful for publications, web incorporation and email template design. We have heard 1 Terabyte as a recommended size most. Are there other recommendations and why? Thank you!

external hard disks seagate vs western digital?

im planning to get an external hard disk around 1 to 2 terabytes. i was wondering which brand is better in terms of durability/reliability and transfer speed?

How do I expand my hard drive on my computer?

I would like to change my computers hard drive from two 250GB drive running in "concert" to one Terabyte disk.

How do I do this?

One: I don’t want to lose any data in my old hard disk, and want to keep the same Windows XP operating system.

Two: I want to transfer hard disk information from my two older computer to the one Terabyte computer, again without losing any data.

Three: Can I accomplish this just by adding an external hard drive.

My goal is to transfer my two older computers data, including e-mail info, Robo-form passwords, etc. without screwing anything up.

Also, would it be better to have two 500GB drives with one used as a backup copy?

PC – Bolt

Just a little gameplay of Bolt High settings, 800*600, pretty demanding game though. Don’t forget to: Rate, comment & Subcribe… PC Spec: Intel core2quad Q6600 @ 3.0ghz 4GB Ram 1 Terabyte Harddisk Ati HD3650 512MB DDR2

My hard drive right now just barely has enough space to run the online game that I play at least two hours a day, and I know it will run better if I have more disk space free on my hard drive. I have already deleted anything that wasn’t absolutely necessary, but I still just barely met the requirements.

So I was wondering if I could get a terabyte external hard drive and just keep the entire game on there and have it run just fine, with no problems.

Any insight to any of my questions (I know there were a few) would be an amazing amount of help. Thanks in advance, everyone :)

As I said b4 I am computer illiterate. I can’t be told even the simplest things w/out direction. Why do you need to remember about where on the hard drive? Or is it hard disk drive?HELP>
