i want to purchase a storage facility for backup purposes, and am in a dilemma as to
whether to purchase a flash memory disk of large capacity, or an external hard disk drive. i
have been informed that a flash memory has a limited number of read erase cycles. please
advise me on the one that is most reliable.

The disc drive on my PC was almost full so I bought and installed a one terabyte second disc drive to add storage space. The installation software asked about partitioning, I just kind of went with what seemed like the default options. It seems okay, but will it start storing music and video right away, or after the first one is full, or do I have to do something else?

Hi folks,
System Requirements lab is crap, at least for intel video cards and Windows 7.
Can you tell me if Saints Row 2 will run on my PC, given the specifications:
Intel Pentium 4 2.4 gHz processor
Windows 7
Intel 82945G integrated graphics card with 256 MB memory with Pixel Shader 2 support.
1.5 GB System memory(RAM)
1 Terabyte hard disk.
Thanks

I know how to run CHKDSK for my internal harddrive, but I don’t know how to check an external disk for errors and it fix them. It doesn’t show up as a drive in My Computer, for example E: or F:.
My computer sees the harddrive in Disk Management, but I can’t do anything to the partition because it has errors.
So, how do I check it for errors so it knows what not to read?
Or what command line do I have to type to check it?
It’s located at /dev/sdb

Want to watch movies on my laptop when traveling. My laptop does not have a built in disk drive. So if I use a external hard disk drive with a usb, use less battery power than watching the movie with an external dvd drive?
