Hard Disk upgrade to 2x200GB Seagate Momentus 7200rpm drives, follwed by RAID 0 setup.

This is what I read, and how I understand it in the context of a book.

Byte: a single character
KB: A page
MB: A book
GB: A Library (Personal or public??)

Terabyte. I’m thinking either a public library, large university library, or even a national library.

I just got a TB drive and was at a loss of how to explain that to my mostly computer-illiterate mother.

How much space should i leave unused on a 2 terabyte external backup drive?
I dont have the drive turned on all the time, only when i need to backup data to it. the files are going to stay where they are unused, unless i need to restore an original file. Theres not a lot of sub dir’s and most of my files are large files average 5gb+.

Here I show you how to stop a corrupted HD from clicking. Other tools can be used but it recommened to follow exactly as I do for the fastest result.

I’m running low on storage on my laptop and thinking about purchasing a 2 terabyte external or internal hard drive. Problem is, I don’t know anything about them. Can I purchase something like a "Western Digital 2 TB Caviar Green SATA Intellipower 64 MB Cache Bulk/OEM Desktop Hard Drive WD20EARS" and place it in a regular Acer Aspire laptop?

This video shows you how to install the hard disk and CD-rom into your computer. Credits: , HowStuffWorks

I am concerned of the increased failure rate of a 1 terabyte drive if it contains multiple spindles? Should I be?

I am trying to copy folders from my MacBook on to my terabyte drive, but for some reason it won’t let me do it. The drive info says it’s read-only so would I have to change that?
