Byte: a single character
KB: A page
MB: A book

How much space should i leave unused on a 2 terabyte external backup drive?

Can I purchase something like a "Western Digital 2 TB Caviar Green SATA Intellipower 64 MB Cache Bulk/OEM Desktop Hard Drive WD20EARS" and place it in a regular Acer Aspire laptop?

I am trying to copy folders from my MacBook on to my terabyte drive, but for some reason it won’t let me do it. The drive info says it’s read-only so would I have to change that?
