DTI Data is Proud to Offer Free Hard Drive Recovery Tools and Accessories

Pasadena, FL (PRWEB) April 25, 2011

DTI Data, one of the most well respected data recovery companies in the business, with more than ten years of hard drive recovery experience, is now offering free hard drive recovery tools and accessories. The first freeware tool is External Hard Drive Undelete software. This amazing software allows customers to retrieve files from a FAT32 partition and put them back where they belonged, before they were deleted.

DTI Data’s free External Hard Drive Undelete software is just the first piece of free recovery software DTI Data now provides. The second piece is the Hard Drive Partition Repair. This piece of software solves the problem of a disappearing drive letter. When a drive letter disappears, DTI Data’s free software is there to help.

The first two elements of free software are just part of the reason DTI Data is the data recovery destination for so many large corporations. Businesses that include Ford Auto Company, Campbell’s Soup, and even NASA, rely on DTI Data’s experts for the best data recovery services.

The third piece of freeware recovery software is a great way to check the safety of a hard drive. The sooner a person can identify a problem, the sooner a person can find a solution. By using DTI Data’s hard drive recovery verification freeware, customers can scan a hard drive to identify if it is suffering from any physical malfunction of bad sectors. By noticing any malfunctions, customers can handle all hard drive repair needs.

All three of DTI Data’s freeware recovery tools are awesome for a business. DTI Data always has customers asking them how to tell if something is wrong with a hard drive. DTI Data took these questions seriously and decided the best way to answer this query, was to provide freeware recovery software that will allow you to scan your system. This way customers can see what is wrong with their hard drive and then trust DTI Data to fix it.

DTI Data encourages potential customers to call with any questions or concerns. Technical support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and regular business hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time.

Data Protection Solutions (DPS) Settles Patent Dispute Regarding ATA Disk Mirroring

Hollywood, FL (PRWEB) March 4, 2006

Arco Computer Products, Inc. d/b/a Data Protection Solutions (“DPS”), announces today that it is has settled a patent dispute with a Chinese technology company and its U.S. operating subsidiary. DPS accused the Chinese company and its subsidiary of violating DPS’s Parallel ATA Disk Mirroring patented technology (U.S. patent #: 5,740,397). Although the specific terms of the settlement are confidential, the defending company agreed to compensate DPS for prior use of DPS’s patented technology, and DPS has granted the defendant a license to use the technology on future sales of the accused products in exchange for a royalty. DPS and the defendant are both active in the Internal ATA Raid market where, DPS maintains other patents, such as Hidden Device Technology (HDT) for disk to disk backup (U.S. patent # 6,938,104) that may also offer additional value to the defendant’s products.

DPS’s Parallel ATA Disk Mirroring technology allows a disk drive adapter to connect to an existing IDE parallel port on a motherboard or add-in card, reducing complexity for the user to install and maintain. “The DPS disk mirroring technology is widely adopted by OEMs and integrators, who design, manufacture and market special purpose computers sold to end-customers. These customers also do not want to have involvement in maintaining these devices,” says Itzik Levy, Founder and CTO of DPS. “Other technology approaches are dependent upon the operating system which can cause corruption of the OS and data in the disk mirroring process.” DPS’s technology allows for the simultaneous writing of data directly from the ATA Bus, eliminating maintenance requirements associated with changes in the operating system, updates, and the setting of IRQs, TSRs, and drivers associated with traditional approaches.

Both DPS and the defendant have expressed interest in and intend to explore mutually beneficial business opportunities between the two companies. Both parties agree to set up a Business Collaboration Committee to further explore potential areas of technology and business collaboration.

About Data Protection Solutions

Headquartered in South Florida and founded in 1989, DPS is a data protection technology provider, offering many unique and patented technologies. Both the company’s disk mirroring RAID controller and EzBackup® disk-to-disk (D2D) product lines, powered by the company’s patented DupliDisk technology, are designed to preserve the value of personal and corporate data. Data values are growing exponentially, and the high failure rate of tape-based backups and restores are a more serious threat to these values than ever. D2D backup provides cost-effective backup and storage up to terabyte capacity. It is now recognized as the “fail-safe” solution to data protection for SMB and SOHO applications and is also found in robust enterprise settings. The company serves the market through OEM relationships, distributors such as Tech Data Corporation, as well as system integrators, value-added resellers, and catalog companies throughout the United States, Europe and the Far East.

ITreviewed Gives PerfectDisk 10 Five Stars for Defrag and Storage Capabilities

PerfectDisk 10

Gaithersburg, MD (Vocus) April 22, 2009

Raxco Software, the leader in disk defragmentation software, today announced that its new PerfectDisk® 10 disk defrag and optimization utility has received its latest 5-star award from ITreviewed. The recognition is the latest in series of high praise from the IT community.

ITreviewed states that PerfectDisk is faster, more effective, and offers a lot more features and flexibility than the Windows® built-in defragger, and is the best of third-party offerings. The review indicates that PerfectDisk helps users “maintain the best possible hard drive performance,” whether they are novice users, power users, or “network gurus.” ITreviewed says that “using PerfectDisk is a joy and it’s always great fun to see how much space you can recover from your hard drive – PerfectDisk even shows the before and after performance of the drive, the type of files moved, and how frequently modified each file normally is. The software is easy to use, and there are plenty of settings and reporting for advanced users.

“Besides the effectiveness of PerfectDisk, those with older (slower) machines will appreciate the software’s low footprint and the way it allows you to get on with your tasks without dragging your machine to a crawl – it doesn’t overload the CPU and RAM like many utility programs sometimes do. This is an obvious advantage over the typical Windows 7/Vista/XP Defrag, which typically cuts performance horribly.”

“We’re delighted that ITreviewed is joining the long list of technology and business professionals who are giving their top marks to PerfectDisk 10,” said Joe Abusamra, vice president of operations of Raxco Software. “In today’s economic climate, users of all types demand the highest quality and best value for their purchases, and PerfectDisk delivers for all of these users.”

About Raxco Software

Raxco Software has been the industry leader in helping large enterprises, small businesses, and consumers with their computer resource management needs for over 30 years. Its PerfectDisk 10 is Certified by Microsoft® for Vista, Windows Server® 2008 and Hyper-V. PerfectDisk products have a long history of winning the industry’s highest awards, most notably its perfect 5-star review from CNET Download, winner of the Windows IT Pro Readers’ Choice Awards for Defragmentation Utility and Storage Management Tools, Redmond Magazine’s Best of the Best Award, and PC Magazine’s Editors’ Choice Award. Raxco also produces optimization software, for HP’s OpenVMS operating system. Raxco Software can be found on the Web at http://www.perfectdisk.com.
